Maidstone & Malling Round Table Chairman Guy Baker is trying out a new way to get everyone, both current and potential members, more involved in Table.

It's the social networking site Facebook, and invites have been sent out to all current Table members and honoraries.

Guy says, "Please join me on Facebook.com. I've created a Maidstone and Malling Round Table Group. It makes announcments, invitations and general group comunications a breeze and is fun also."

"Social and Business Networking is done this way now.... and I'd like us all on there."

"Why do I want this?

1. It makes administration of the group a piece of cake!
2. It is not only the future it is the present.
3. We want to attract new members to Table, especially younger members, and we need to communicate in the language of this generation!"

So why not go and have a look by clicking http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2620495422 and see what you think.

TABLE NEEDS YOU
Like many similar associations, Round Table needs a healthy membership in order for it to continue to operate effectively in its local area.

Unlike many similar associations, Round Table has a maximum age limit of 45, so it is even more important that new members continue to join, to replace those forced to 'retire' through the age rule.

If you have ever thought of giving Round Table a try, or even if you have never heard of it prior to accessing this site, why not contact one of the members of Maidstone and Malling Round Table (details elsewhere on this site) to find out more?

There is no compulsion to come along more than once, but you never know until you've tried it!
